Mr. Immortal

I need a logo for him. At the moment it's
just an "I" for Immortal...

The least bothered super hero in history. He is, after all, immortal! And I'm only drawing him in 4-panel comics so far. Okay! So he basically just doesn't care about much because he lives in the endless expanse of time. I don't yet know how he got this super power but he's quite a depressing fellow because of his little "Super-power" problem.

I have realised that people generally have a focus on a particular theme and set of characters for these comics. It gives the reader a sense of familiarity which eases the humor by giving you insight on the character's personality. So I have Mr. Immortal! I am almost done with my first comic strip, which I hope to release here on Monday. Look forward to it! I have no idea how it will turn out. I'm pretty sure I have a lot of room for improvement though :D

And when I release it then everyone has to give me their honest first impressions! And no dilly-dallying, that feedback is important for the next comics ;) Today is a good day. A Friday, if you will. I love weekends!

Nah, I wasn't really going anywhere with that. Not being random or anything, it just happened... Okay, so I don't know what to write about now. Work's kind of slow lately with the odd rush here or there but I haven't had one of those days for a while. It really looks like everyone's gone off on holiday lately, I can't wait for my leave in January! I'm going to Wilderness on the 3rd or 4th and staying 'til the 11th, it's gonna be amazing! I'm getting more and more excited as your wedding draws closer my sister. Might also have something to do with Christmas, New Year, my birthday and taking a week off work. Among other things... This is gonna be a rockin' holiday :)

I'm wishing for a white Christmas!

Just like the ones I've heard about...

It would be nice if it snowed for Christmas this year. That would probably also be some sort of natural disaster since I'm sitting in 30 degrees of hot and sweaty right now... End-of-the-world omens and what-not. But nice!

Run little guy, run like the wind were carrying each individual snow flake that makes up your being!
And if there were a strong gust on which to ride... Mmmm, Strawberry slushy...

Dead hobos

I was THIS CLOSE! To killing a hobo today. I was driving up a hill and had to accelerate, he was walking across the road at his own pace (very very very slow)(I'll add one more "slow" to give you a good idea of how slowly he was going!). So I used my brilliant skills of deduction to judge that he would clear my vehicle in time. He had looked directly at me a number of times, so when he stopped walking only 1 metre in front of me I can only assume he suddenly went BLIND and STUPID! Fortunately he left just enough of a gap between me and the car in the opposing lane. With my swift thinking and nimble fingers I took advantage of that gap and killed no-one!

If drivers' reflexes were a little slower, I dare say there'd be a lot more road-killed hobos on our dangerous streets. So please drive carefully my fellow motor-vehicle drivers! Blood is a bloody pain in the neck to clean off your bumper. Or so I hear...

A cookie for my pretties!

To everyone that spoke up about their hidden identities, their super-hero names, in my post (Hair! An on-growing tail...), A Cookie! As promised. I couldn't decide on the best name, so to make it fair, I shall eat the cookie. Nom nom nom. "Thank you" be to my loyal followers for participating, even though I get the biggest cookie, you each may have a smaller cookie! Still chocolaty and delicious!

1 for Wolf Girl, 1 for KATastrophe, 1 for Grammy, and 1 for Sergeant Major Mom.
And another 36 for me! Mwahahahaha!

I might get fat if I keep this up... Meh! Who cares, I'm living on the edge! Of obesity. With excitement!

Hair! An on-growing tail...

It is time for a haircut. Once again my luscious locks of splendiferous black-ish hair need trimming. They flow with such wonder and grace that it feels a shame to let them go. On the other hand, my head will literally become many grams lighter in the process. That's always nice, and it grows back so quickly too - I am bored of talking about hair!

By the way - I won the competition!

I do not yet know what I have won, but the important thing is that I have crushed the competition single-handedly with decisive skill and ambition - with Carlos' help. Woohoo! Thanks Mr. C to the A to the RLOS! They had this to say:

My comic book title

I am now a super hero, a frequent contact of mine at my current place of work-ery calls me Benjaman. My name is not in fact Benjaman, it is Benjamin. But I think I'm starting to like the idea. BenjaMAN, help us in our time of need! Indeed, it inspires me to do great things! Powerful and dangerous things! Like write up a post about my feelings on the matter. Right here. Hell yeah, I'm super-cool B)
